There’s nothing like sitting in traffic during your morning commute. You’ve been there, I’m sure – flipping through the radio stations while inching forward at a pace set for land tortoises. If you’re in an outside lane, sometimes you can’t help but take notice of the flotsam on the sides of the road.
It was a cold, rainy November morning when I did just that – took notice of a pile of fur on the side of the road that I at first mistook as roadkill. As I passed, I realized that the wet hairball was actually a tiny kitten. It was huddled over a storm drain along the cement barrier separating the lanes of traffic traveling in front of the Titans Stadium on I24.
