The Tale of a Pie

I want to tell you a story about a pie.

Yep, that’s right, a pie.

It was a pineapple pie. One of a beautiful yellow color and my own recipe. Perfect homemade crust and vanilla ice cream in the freezer waiting to accent each warm slice.

I pulled this gorgeous pie from the oven and placed it on the counter to cool. It was the perfect dessert to go along with the dinner I was preparing for the new beau I was dating. I’d put extra care into the making of this fine pie.

There Was Just One Problem . . .

Not with the pie, of course. It was perfect. The problem is that I’m human and I make mistakes.

My first mistake was leaving the pie to cool on the counter while I went to take a shower and get ready for this much-anticipated date.

The second mistake was leaving my dog, Karma, unattended while she had access to the kitchen and said pie.
